As a Shareholder at Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C., James Alexander, CPA, directs audit engagements for non-profit and governmental organizations, manufacturing entities, school districts, employee benefit plans and rural electric cooperatives, which includes preparing and reviewing work papers, financial statements and reporting to the entity’s middle to upper management. He also contributes to BWB’s succession strategies by training and supervising other accountants at the firm.

James graduated from Mercyhurst College, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Accounting.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on the advisory board for Hospice of Warren County and was the past president and board member for the Family Service of the Chautauqua Region.

To this day, James bleeds Pennsylvania—forever loyal to his sports teams, the Penguins, Pirates and Steelers.
